TWN's highly popular boot camp is back! Our "Landing Your Dream Role" Virtual Boot Camp will begin on Monday, February 24th, 2025, and end on Thursday, March 6th, 2025. The goal of our 2-week boot camp is to equip TWN members with resources to land career opportunities, expand their networks, learn how to source roles, prepare for interviews, and gain industry insight – all on a busy college student's schedule! This boot camp includes 4 workshops (Refining Your Resume and LinkedIn/Preparing for and Navigating Interviews (Session 1), Finding and Researching Roles: How to Navigate the Internship and Job Search (Session 2), Best Networking Practices and Candidacy Differentiation (Session 3), and a Recruiter Panel (Session 4)), an exclusive newsletter with job and internship postings, an advice column, and networking tips, access to all meeting recordings for 1 month, and an opportunity to build connections with other participants.

Each year, we celebrate National TWN Day and all of our community members’ achievements and ambitions. Currently, TWN has a presence on 120 college campuses in the United States, Ireland, and Canada, trained over 5,500 chapter leaders, hosted thousands of events, and has 55,000+ active members in our community. Members have landed internships and jobs, changed their majors, developed new leadership skills, connected with industry leaders and mentors, built strong friendships, and - of course - celebrated their ambitions. February 12th is a day we dedicate to every member of our community. We are excited to celebrate the journeys of each member and all that we have achieved as an organization during this event.

Reesa took the internet by storm and ignited an international conversation stemming from her relationship saga. In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, TWN-University of Wisconsin-Madison is hosting a Breast Cancer Awareness and Education Event on Tuesday, October 29th, 2024 at 6 pm CST. This year, 316,950 new cases of invasive breast cancer will be diagnosed in women in the United States. Planned by Romi Maschler and Morgan Becker, this event will educate members on how to perform self-exams, the importance of regular check-ups and screenings, and facts about the disease.
TWN-Northwestern is hosting a speaker event on Tuesday, October 29th at 8 pm EST/7 pm CST featuring Professor Heather Aryani, the U.S. Department of State’s Speaker on Entrepreneurship and Innovation and an acclaimed professor. Heather works with embassies and consulates on strategic initiatives and designs curriculums that create transformative educational experiences. During this event, Heather will share more about leadership lessons learned throughout her time working in government and advice she has for students thinking about a career in the public sector. Members will learn from DeeDee Keller ‘89, a criminal defense and family law attorney, who will speak about “Practicing Self-Advocacy: Learning to Become Your #1 Fan.” The second half of the event will be dedicated to updating resumes and LinkedIn accounts, learning how to write a cover letter, and preparing for interviews. Brooke's career is truly incredible, beginning as a local reporter and quickly – at only 31 – working her way up to what some might consider the "height of the field": CNN news anchor. She worked at CNN for over a decade, where she hosted "CNN Newsroom With Brooke Baldwin" and reported on the world's most meaningful, inspirational, and gut-wrenching stories. She left CNN to pursue the "bravest version" of herself, citing the "dearth of women in positions of power." In 2021, Brooke published her first book, "Huddle: How Women Unlock Their Collective Power," on how women lean on each other to enact change. Theresia is the Co-Founder of Aspect Ventures, a leading early-stage venture firm with a unique focus on bridging the funding gap between angels and the larger multi-stage VC platforms through collaboration and diversity; she was named to Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women list. During this event, Theresia will share more about her entrepreneurial journey, how she approaches investing through an intersectional lens, what excites her most about early-stage investing, and advice she would offer her younger self. Join us a TWN National Speaker Event featuring Lilia Luciano! Luciano is an award-winning investigative journalist, documentary film director, producer, and reporter. After graduating from the University of Miami with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Economics, Luciano began her career at Univision Communications and was promoted to Correspondent and Anchor. She later worked at TEGNA as an Investigative Reporter before ultimately being named as a Correspondent at CBS News. As a National Correspondent, Luciano led coverage in a number of high-profile news stories and reported for NBC Nightly News, The Today Show, and Telemundo. Kimberly is a lawyer, former CBS News Legal Analyst, and former Assistant United States Attorney. During this event, Kimberly will offer insight into her experience in law, politics, and journalism, discuss the art of pivoting in one’s career, and share how to leverage expertise in the law in other fields.
